I reviweved the file and it had an incorrect Xing (VBR) header. That's the reason why applications (e.g. WinAmp) report wrong bitrate, etc., although they usually can play it.

Anyway, the next MM release will be able to play such files and also will report bitrate as much correct as it could (in such cases not always the really correct bitrate can be reported unless the whole file is scanned).

I could not find 2.3. All I could find was 2.2 and I have that already. How can I find 2.3? Thanks. CP

Thanks guys. I will try the new beta. I was just surprised that other players could play mp3s that MM could not. CP

Yes, you can try the new 2.3 beta version if it improves playback. In case you still aren't able to play a file that can be played in some other player, please e-mail it to me.

The songs might have corrupted tags. You could try to clean ID3v1 & ID3v2 tags (in tools) and see if the song plays. Otherwise you could send a file to support or try and see if the new beta version solves your problem.

mp3 files that MM does not play

Hi,
I noticed that although Media Monkey plays most mp3 files, it cannot play some and reports 0 kbps.

iTunes and Windows Media Player do play them. Can I set something to fix this or is it something that Media Monkey has not figured out yet?

Thanks!
