Ok, I went to my local bingo hall today and, for the first time in my life, played a game of bingo. It cost me £1.50. I didn't win anything, so I went home. I would like to continue playing, perhaps once a month. Has anyone out there had a negative experience with Bingo, where you've got drawn in and become addicted etc. Please share your experiences. I would like to hear people's opinions on this before I play again.

And you're probably not understanding my engine example. You refer to maximizing the engine output which better gasoline will do. But if you aren't running at maximum the gasoline will not affect you. IE if you want to drive 5 MPH it doesn't matter what gasoline you put as all will be able to achieve that speed, it's when you want to reach the maximum speed when gasoline will make a difference.
yep what you say about the gasoline was true at one time. will pm you.

That's incorrect, priority matters when you're running at the maximum of your system resources. It then gives priority to higher priority tasks. If you don't run at 100% it will matter little.

If you only need 5% of your engine output (driving relaxed on Sunday with no hurry) the gasoline matters little in terms of performance (just for engine maintenance, but that's not the issue).[/quote]

ah but you see that priority is also given to all programs if you start it in the logon or on system start up. i have done that at system start up on the other computer here and it does speed up loading and the system on the computer.

but its that little bit that every gamer wants. any thing to get an advantage over someone on a normal non tweaked computer is good then if they are on a tweaked system then we want some more things to get an advantage, and that little bit of speed up on the system giving every thing running in high priority including the mouse and joystick programs. well that equals out to faster reaction time on the game.

as for the gasoline engine i can prove it works as i said since i have also done that in my enignes. but thats not music so i'll leave that for the off topic room or in another forum all together. :D

I am a gamer and play exclusively with MM running. I have a pretty high-end system though; it's important to me that I be able to run MM and games (as well as FF, Xfire, Pidgin and more) without any slow downs. Whether or not you can play games with MM running will depend on your systems specs but I've never found an incompatibility with any of the MMOs I've played: Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and more. I also tend to turn off in game music on most single-player RPGs I play and run MM instead. Not much of an FPSer myself but I don't doubt I'd have no problem running those with MM either.

So the short answer is: if you have a rig that is powerful enough to run both, you'll have no problem. I run MM + game and more and have no slow downs whatsoever.

yes lowlander that is right in most case's that raise it to real time. which makes windows crash because it has some items that must be done before other certian key items. but using high priority i do not see anything being caused to mess up. :) i've been running prioirty in logging on for over a year now it use to make some trouble clicking on the shortcuts. but after a few deep registry cleanings the trouble with the shortcuts does not happen. so there was an error in the reg that caused that.

if the game is controled by the mouse or joystick they will want to have them run faster too. the only way to get
them to run faster is having priority start at logon before it starts the mouse and joystick, stuff.
and starting everything in high priority is just like starting everything in microsoft's default priority setting, the programs all run thinking they started in normal system priority because that is what their coding says but the system is set to run in higher. 8)
and if you look at the right click setting in the task manager process tab to set the priority that way, you wll see they say high priority.

its no different then like if you have a car that is said by the manufacture to be made to run with low grade gasoline. it runs with that but after awhile it gets bogged down by heavy trailers like a camper and a boat tailer.
the engine will pull it on the low grade gas, but putting hightest in it makes the engine run smoother with more power in the uphill climb while pulling the load.

the reverse can be said too. you have a hightest engine and run low grade gasoline in it. the engine will run but not at its best preformance.

having a xp computer system with fast hardware with windows installed to run at its default priority setting is the same as having a hightest engine running on lowgrade gasoline. :)

It the app changes the priority of applications you can do so in the Task Manager. Changing priority would any be effective it your raise priority on one or very few applications. In this case raising the priority of the game is best and leaving all other applications at their current level. Do take care that raising priority can lead to stability issues especially if an application is resource intensive or crashes.

yes it can lag?

mediamonkey has your choice of how to show monkey.

there is a mico player that goes to the task bar. and you can set an option to make monkey go to the tray icon.

there is a pop up notifire like the winamp plug in toaster. and you can even use toaster if you want too.

just remember the more you have going on the more the cpu will lag.

if you are doing online games i suggest going to http://www.majorgeeks.com and finding the free program called

" priority " it is able to be put in to a task job in task scheduler and start it at logon that way all the programs that start after it will be run in high priority making everything run faster. or you can just use the icon to start priority when you want to run monkey and the game, so starting it first then your online stuff and monkey will help with lag time by speeding up the browser and the windows shell. it will not help much but should make up for what is ate up by monkey. i found it does speed up downloads that way so it should work for the games too. :)

This would all depend on your hardware. If your hardware is sufficiently fast you should be able to run other applications (including MediaMonkey) while playing a game. The best way to find is to run MediaMonkey while playing the game and see how this works out on your machine.
