The best option with MM 3.0 is option 2 from here:

The best option for 3.1 would be option 3:

It might also be caused by some special characters that these FLAC files contain that causes them not to be scrobbled.

I had a problem scrobbling a month back, which you helped me solve.

My current problem is the scanner doesn't pick up all the FLAC files in 'some' folders. - I wouldn't have thought a slight version difference would be the problem.
I honestly don't know, but it certainly could be the problem. You should at least update to the current version from the website (3.0.7 if not going to the beta version).

Perhaps it would be wise to move the flac files that won't be scanned to your local hard drive, then scan to see if there is some connection issue.

And is the version really the issue?
If its scrobbling that is a problem, then certainly it matters. I don't know what scrobbler plugin you are using but the new plugin is only compatible with MM3.1 (not 3.0.1)

3.0.1.1227? The current version is 3.0.7.1191, looks like you're running an outdated version.

Using MM 3.0.1.1227 .... (i thought it was BETA, but it doesnt say so).

I'm scanning folders off an external HD, and although the files are visible in explorer, MM fails to pick them up.

Eg - explorer shows tracks 1 through 12, but MM doesnt want to add them all.

Any reason why this might be??
