If you have an original file that failed to import you should send it to support so the developers can improve scanning so this no longer happens: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... &_a=submit

I've found that sometimes this could be mediamonkey ignoring certain art files, text files or ini files in the folders directory, which wouldn't meet the criteria.

Which is why Gold users can change Collection to their own needs.

I have no clue why MM skips some of my music!

Found what happened: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=65646#p336350. What a stupid way to split your collection (okay, I admit, that's an opinion).

Did you verify in the Entire Library > Location node that the files aren't in your Library? That's where pretty much everybody is finding the "missing" files. The did not import number includes all non-media files found in the scanned folder like log, cue, txt, pdf, jpg, docx, exe, etc.

I cannot add music files either, since the last update. I suggest the developers to check what has been changed in the "import files" code. It is clear that there is a switch that makes all new files to fall outside the importing criteria.

So you're saying the files don't show under Entire Library > Location when navigating to their folder(s).

Other than File Types and Tools > Options > Library's ignore files there are no other settings. It could be that the files have some incompatibility, you could open a support ticket with a link to a filesharing like Dropbox where the developers can download a sample file that fails to import for analysis: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... &_a=submit

Sorry, I thought I was more clear about what was happening. The problem isn't that the music files import but then don't appear on my list. The problem is that MM is not importing them. According to the message MM gives me during the import process, it says they are not imported because they do not meet import criteria. Since I have all the import criteria I can find set to import everything, I'm at a loss. But yes, just to be sure, I also checked under Classical, and it seems that anything that is there also shows up when I look at "entire library" anyway.

Any ideas on changing the import settings would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Best place to check is Entire Library > Location and navigate to the folder the files are stored (enable under File > Manage Collections).

I'm having the same problem. I've changed the settings to import every type of file. I've unchecked all the boxes that say "ignore files..." I've identified one folder of music that's not importing. The files are flac files, but that's not the problem because other flac files are importing. When I ask MM to import from that folder, it scans the files but doesn't import any of them, saying that they did not meet import criteria. What other import criteria are there? I've looked through all the help files I can find, and can't solve this. I can only import a tiny portion of my library, this is a real problem! Thanks in advance for your help!
