As I recall there is or was a bug with the functioning of the "Verify ripped tracks" checkbox, shown in the above graphic as checked, that actually lowered the quality of the rip. Has that been fixed yet? If not then leaving it as unchecked will get you a better rip until the bug is fixed.

In the process of ripping a CD, while there are a few drop-down menus for selecting Rip options, in my version of the program, 4, there is no information explaining those options. Moreover, while online help has several posts regarding ripping, I found none addressing the matter of the quality of the rip.

So, where, in fact, is the "rip dialog", if not the dialog that one uses to rip CDs?

Getting the Best Rip Possible

Being new here, I have been exploring deep into the help and FAQ areas of Media Monkey. Somewhere (but I can’t recall where) I read that Media Monkey has a function for getting the best Rip possible. This is of great interest to me as (i) I have lots of CDs that I wish to Rip, and (ii) I create and/or download only WAV and FLAC files, which are then played through a high-end audio system. (No MP3s for me!)

While I have had no problem figuring out how generally to Rip CDs using Media Monkey, I am unable to locate the menu, dialog or command that provides special functionality for the best possible Rips. Can someone tell me where such function resides, and, if possible, a brief note on how it operates differently from Media Monkey’s standard Rip function. (Note: I Rip to WAV format only; the larger file size is not important to me; sound quality is everything.)

Thank you.
