I installed a new script "Genre Finder v4.9" from trixmoto only a few minutes ago. This script still installs in this "old" location. I assume, trixmoto is aware of it...

Its not controlled by the script. Also, it's not the location where the script is installed. It's just a listing of the installed extensions and some other data about the script like the uninstall file and the script's icon. But the location is determined by MM.

Any scripts isntalled with the "install for current user only box" unchecked will go to C:\ProgramData folder, if you install per-user it will appear at C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Extensions

This was the "extensions" folder in MM3, which held the list of installed extensions. It was moved to the appdata folder in MM4, but the old location is still accepted too for backward compatibility.

Remove no more existing script?

Under Tools, Extensions I have one entry "MusicBrainzTagger" Version 2.0. If I select this entry and press the "Uninstall" button, I get the error
Code: Select all
File: C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\MusicBrainzTagger\MusicBrainzTagger.vbs" cannot be opened: The file is unavailable or you may not have permission to access it".
It is true, the directory \MusicBrainzTagger and the script with the extension .vbs doesn't exist (anymore).

But how can I delete the entry in the extensions list?
I can't find anything in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Tools\Sound\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Scripts.ini,
C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Scripts.ini,
C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini
and nothing in
C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Extensions
C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Extensions.ini

Wait a second, there is one more folder:
C:\ProgramData\MediaMonkey\Extensions
and after deleting the entire directory \MusicBrainzTagger with his content, the entry is finally gone...

What could be the reason, that I have parts of MM4 in 3 different locations? Is this a win7 (access right) problem?
