Maybe try using the auto eq preset switch script and see if the sound is better with it.

Why do you use directsound on MM, it also has a WASAPI output option?

I'm going to get blasted for this but here goes.

I like MediaMonkey, ALOT! I paid for MediaMonkey. But MediaMonkey will not play SACD and or DTS files.

Foobar will.

So I use MediaMonkey 90% of the time.

But I've noticed soemething lately. Somehow Foobar sounds better no matter what track I'm playing. Foodbar is using WASAPI but that suppose to not make difference (check out Foobar site) while MediaMonkey is using MMdirect sound. No EQ on either one.

Am I dong something wrong? Perhaps Foobar could be adding something, MediaMonkey is taking away something?

But MediaMonkey rules, I can't configure FooBar to come close to doing what I feel MM does. (in my opinion, play options, sorting, display)
