can i do audio bit stream pass through

Can I set up MM to bit stream audio in its native format to my external receiver? I can do this in VLC.

My system is windows 10, sound and video to nvidia gtx1080 ti video card with an HDMI connection to a Marantz AV7703 pre/pro. In windows sound, i set the configuration to 5.1. The receiver shows everything as 'multi channel in', which means it is getting a PCM input. I use my computer as a music source for stereo and 5.1 surround. It is also my source for netflix and amazon prime. All audio sources (except VLC) are converted to PCM before it gets to my receiver. I was able to make a simple change in settings for VLC to solve this problem. Hopefully this can also be done in MM for my music sources.

The main problem is that stereo sources are being converted to 5.1 SS and not in a good way. It is being done before it gets to the receiver. I have to change the windows sound config to stereo to solve the problem. I then have to change it back to 5.1 to watch netflix or listen to my 5.1 music sources. I am not sure if the conversion from DTS, DD or flac to PCM is done losslesly (maybe a word).

I don't know what program netflix is using for audio conversion. Any help with this would also be appreciated.
