Hi,
When you start MMW installation wizard you will see that you can check PORTABLE INSTALLATION and then enter destination Path. It is simple as that.

Peke,
You lost me. I'm not real computer savy.
I've looked on the web for what you call "portable MMW" and find nothing. I've looked on the C drive for what you call "c:\MMWTemp" and find nothing. I've looked in the program folder for MM and find nothing.
Over the past several years I have deleted MM from the various computers that I've had, cleaned up any leftover registry entries, reboot and then installed a fresh copy of MM.
Years ago when I first installed MM it worked fine then one day it started to playback incorrectly.
Hmm

Hi,
Have you tried to install clean separate portable MMW (for testing you can skip initial first start wizard) to for example c:\MMWTemp and see if it behave same when you play few tracks by simply drag and drop onto MMW player?

Well I thought that it was working. I spoke too soon. Never did this when I first started using MM years ago.

Lowlander,
Your suggestion seems to be working. I hope that it sticks.

Try switching to a different Output Plugin and make sure that the correct Sound Device in your PC is selected. It also can help to update the drivers for the Sound Device.

There are two places in MM where one can control crossfade: under Play on the menu bar and under Tools > Options > Playback Rules. Do you have Crossfade turned off in both these places? Also under Playback Rules, the crossfade rule has to be set separately for each type (Music, Classical Music, etc.).

As a song comes to an end before it goes to the next it plays a bit of the end a second time before starting the next track. Hope that makes sense. I have tried for several years to correct this with no success. Crossfade is turned off. Has happened on the last three computers that I have had.
