I have been using iTunes to sync my iPod Touch since FW 3.0. I have converted some of my flac files using MM to a special folder for syncing with my iPod. I have to manually import the tracks into iTunes, find them and add them to a sync playlist. I would love it if there were a way to automate this. I have seen scipts but I need to be able to convert from flac. I nearly converted all my flac files to Apple lossless but iTunes will not downconvert files for the iPod (unless I have a Shuffle).
I would love to be able to sync to a special folder set up for iPod Sync and have the new tracks automatically added to iTunes with playlists added/updated. One of the big problems is that iTunes is so damn inflexible. If I delete synced tracks, I have to delete them from iTunes, since they are only temporary files. I can't just delete the files.
The main reason I want to do this is iTunes is still needed for syncing other items and I like how iTunes handles podcasts. I don't update music all the time but I do update podcasts every day. I would love to be able to pick tunes in MM, sync to iTunes, and go. The next time I sync via iTunes, everything would automatically update and any deleted tunes would vanish from iTunes.
Is this possible or feasible?
Thanks,
Tim
