Whenever the Album artist and Artist fields match, MM does NOT consider the album to be a compilation. Only when album artist is different from artist.

So I don't understand what you're saying.

MM4, "Album Artist" and iPod

Hi there,

I've been using MediaMonkey for over a year now to send music to my ipod. Until now it has been a far superior program to the dreadful itunes for transferring music, however, earlier in the week I upgraded to the most recent version of MM only to find that for some reason I don't understand "Album artist" now equals "Artist" no matter what. This now means that whenever I add files to my ipod the album is being added as a compilation and artists with no other albums on the ipod aren't listed on the artists list. This seems pretty pointless to me so I have two questions:

1 - How do I stop this happening? It's the difference between me using MediaMonkey and not

2 - What is the purpose of this feature for non-compilations?
