Thanks. I'm new to the iPod too, so this information about the iPod menu system is useful to know. I've created some MM auto-playlists for decades that do the trick. Seems a shame to have to duplicate what MM does anyway but so be it!

It doesn't get synced to the ipod because the menus in the iPod are generated by the ipod firmware itself. The menus are not created by MM.

You could re-create it with playlists but you would have to so manually.

As a newbie I wondering why the year node for decades and individual years doesn’t get synched to my iPod. Can this be done and if so, how? Or must I create playlists of my own for each year and decade? The Auto Sync-List does not include Year.
