You may be hitting the problem i ran into.
Ipod Touch 2G, MM 4, Win 7 64-bit etc.
Following instructions at
http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Guide_to_ipod_sync I installed the essential iTunes installer files using CopyTransDriversInstaller V1.013.
Fired up MM, no iPod Touch showing.....wtf?! After much digging/trial and error discovered a nice little gotcha, as many will know the MM iPhone/iPod plugin appears to require Quicktime installed to be able to access the iPhone/iPod HOWEVER versions of iTunes installers for 10.5 and above no longer appear to 'bundle' Quicktime, you need to install it (or Quicktime Lite) separately, see
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3772 for details.
CopyTransDriversInstaller (V1.013) does not alert you to the fact that it didn't find/install Quicktime from the target iTunes installer file (not entirely sure it would be reasonable to assume it should but I would have thought a little warning might have been helpful).
Hope this helps save some other poor soul from hours of head scratching.
I've updated the Wiki article referenced above with details of this issue.
