Hi,
I use MM4 (1475) to synch auto playlist files with an ipod (Gen 5 nano). Files going in to the ipod works OK (despite the unnecessary re-writing of files not replaced - a different topic). I particularly want the return synch to update the "last played" and any rating changes I invoke on the ipod. Sometimes this works OK but sometimes MM fails to completely implement the return synch, with the synch process concluding successfully but MM being left with "xx files to be tagged". This error message does not go away until MM is restarted.
What particular circumstances in MM would prevent a re-synch from an ipod to hang like this? Would
A. playing the file in MM in the meantime (possible given my auto playlist / auto DJ configuration) , or
B. updating the file in MM (eg rating change or add album art)
prevent the re-synch?
Thanks,
Matt
