I un-installed and re-installed MediaMonkey, removing any files from AppData but that didn't change anything until this morning when I saw your message, turned my laptop on and magically the external sdcard appears.

My X3 will reappear if I accidentally remove the profile. Close MMW and open up Task Manager to see if there's still a MMW process running. I've been having this issue for a couple months now. If the old process is still running, the new MMW will not see the X3.

And dumb question, but are you sure you're X3 is not in DAC mode instead of storage mode?

I know this used to work but now when I plug my X3 in although the external card is listed under My Computer in MM with a drive letter it does not show in the options->portable device sync list. It's possible some over zealous tidying up of the devices meant I removed it but even if that is the case how do I get it back?
