I have two large music databases that are probably mostly the same. One is on my hard drive, the other on my iPod. I would like to compare the two to see what is missing from either location so that I can selectively update each one. I fear that a straight synchronization will not work properly because the same song might have a slightly different file name in each location and as a result, duplicate a song when it should not. So I would want the ONLY matching criteria to be Artist, Album and Song Title. Even then, there may still be false positives where I have a recording of a live concert and the band plays the same song twice during the show OR where the name of the album is slightly different even though the same (using "_" instead of spaces between words, for instance).
Thank you in advance.
