Not sure I follow completely I do not have any issues naming filenames by using semicolons.

Hello,
I'm trying to set a name for SDB.UI.NewCheckBox.Common.ControlName and INI file setting variable with a name that has a semi-colon character in it. I have to do this because of the way Node_Location generates name for its harddrive names. E.g HD:DriveC.

Is there a character encoding/decoding method in VBS in order to process string with special characters?
