Peke, your "monitor.exe v.1.0.0.49" is great and works as expected :D . I can preview songs through my "DirectSound outputs" device (as configured) while not interrupting songs playing from the playlist at the same time via the MM output plugin.

However, I have the following difficulties:
a) Using "Play Song Preview" I always get a message "Selected Track do not have Preview". What is the trick here that solves it?

b) The "monitor.exe" GUI only provides a "play" and "pause" button but not a "stop" button. I would like to have a "stop" command available in order to listen to another song in preview mode due to another issue as described below.

c) Selecting an additional song for preview ("Monitor song") while a song is already playing, starts an additional "monitor.exe" instance playing the song in parallel. So, multiple songs are played rather than stop the previous previewed song. Is there a solution available for this problem?

Thanks for help

Hi,

thanks for the reply in the other thread. I'll describe my error again becaus it changed a bit. I Installed the app from your fansite
and downloaded the plugins from http://www.mmfanbox.x10hosting.com/util ... tested.zip
I changed the location of the app in the script to my location on the harddsik C:\Programme\MediaMonkey\SongMonitor and restarted MM.
Now I've got in the Send to menue the Monitor Song item. When I click on it I get the error "Catastrophic Error" (I hope it's called so in english
because I've got a german operating system) but in the background your app starts with the song. If I press ok on the error box I see your app
playing the selected song.

What could be the reason of the error?

I've got another question, is it possible that you resize the buttons, see the picture:

The German words are much longer then the English.

Greetings from Germany

Catastrophic Failure

Hello everyone, hello Peke,

thanks so much for your script, it's awesome, especially of course the possibility of a second sound card (otherwise the Previewer 2.2 by Richard Lewis which can be found here: http://trixmoto.net/mm/search.php?all=scripts is also great, as it is integrated in MediaMonkey).

However, I get a Catastrophic Failure, same as the guest some lines above, and I would really like to know how to solve it.

Secondly, if there is any newbie who would like to know how to add a shortcut to your great plugin, here is the one line of code to insert after line 33:

Code: Select all

  Dim SMonitor2
  Set SMonitor2 = SDB.UI.AddMenuItem(SDB.UI.Menu_Edit,0,0)
  SMonitor2.Caption = "Monitor Song"
  SMonitor2.OnClickFunc = "PlayMonitor"
  SMonitor2.UseScript = Script.ScriptPath
  SMonitor2.IconIndex = 63
  SMonitor2.ShortCut = "Ctrl+<"
In the last line, German users will have to put Strg instead of Ctrl, very bizarre behaviour.

Thirdly, the program does not appear in my send to menu, maybe you have an idea.

I am using version 1.0.0.22 with MM free 2.5.3.968.

Thank you very much in advance,

Felix.

Only the one that will play medias/music you have. You will be noted that you do not have plugin for that type of file.

I use Winamp 5.31

Hey and thx for the quick reply.
I use Winamp 5.31

I have one question...
Do I have to copy ALL of your suggested plugins to the "c:\Songmonitor" ?
I wonder because I don't have Monkeyaudio installed for example...

From Which Winamp you have drawn in_mp3?
Try with plugin from WA <5.20.

Sorry for taking a while to reply.

The script I wrote works fairly well, but it is just a simple hack really. If you get the upgraded version and can run scripts I'll happily send it to you.
