After trying to modify the Scritp to play .flv extentions. nothing worked, until something stupid came to my mind. which is change the extension of my .flv files to avi, so i did not have to convert the files to any other format. Now works beautifully.

You need the DLL in the "Plugins" folder, yes. You don't need to use Winamp, you just need to restart MM. If you've got the right DLL then you should get extra filetypes appear in the "Add/rescan..." popup so you can include your video filetypes.

Just to clarify (I feeling stupid!)

1. Do I put the DLL in the plugins directory
2. Do I need to be using winamp as the engine rather than mediamonkey default
(I've done 1 above. The node appears but I don't get an option to select video file types anywhere. Even in the rescan area)

I've found an old copy in an ancient backup of mine and mirrored it here.

Im the same boat of not being able to find the plugins any longer. The vid one is not on the MM input/output page and the old Winamp link just sends to the main winamp page, where a search for the script name turns up nothing. I have googled both and just find their names in this forum as a result :(

This script allows you to display files that are in your library, however it does not enable you to import these filetypes. For many of them you will need to add extra plugins.

I honestly have no clue what's wrong with this, because there isn't anything!! I'll have to consult with the devs I think. :-?

I get the same error with VideoNode 3.1 when I try to click on "Video" in my Library Tree. I am running MM 3.0.3.1162

Error #-2147418113-
file: "c:\program files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\VideoNode.vbs", line:39, Column: 4

Sorry about this, but the problem is still occurring with exactly the same error message, line and number.

I just cut and pasted the new version of the code into the VideoNode.VBS script in my mm\Auto folder.

New version (3.1) is now available to download from my website. With the help of Bex I think the errors should now be resolved. :)

I contacted the guys from VID4WA. They say "I know about the problem of VID4WA with MediaMonkey 3 and don't know as to eliminate it. The VID4WA v.2.6.2 works with MM2 perfectly."

Briliant :s, that was the response to my question below.
Hi There, I have a big problem with Vid4WA. I hope you can help me out. I use the latest version of Vid4WA and the latest offical version of
MediaMonkey 3. People on MM forum say it's not a common error, since they do not experience it. So I ask you whether you know how I can resolve this problem.
The problemis : When I play an .AVI file with Mediamonkey I get this error: Application Error: Exeption EOutOfResources in module in_VID4WA.ddl at 00065AE2.Application Error: Exeption EOutOfResources in module in_VID4WA.ddl at 00065AE2. Actually I get this error when I end playing the video. Wheter I play another MP3 of another AVI. Also I only hear audio and do not see any longer video. Only when I press ALT-# (with # standing for a 1 to 9 I can see video again. This is a code to update the rating in MM, and then it saves the label in MM, and suddenly the Videoimages also appear. It also comes back when I try to receive file information of the video (in the VID4WA box). It does not show me any info, but the vid

This is since I updated to MM3 (used MM2 since a week). I now acquired a
licence, but this did not solve problems. I also removed the in_VID4WA.ddl, and installed the latest version of VID4WA (which has a fresh release since 3 weeks). I hope you can tell me what to do.
