Windows' native app "Xbox music" does not offer this and neither does Nokia MixRadio. For the others, I doubt.

Xbox Music does not let you rate at all. With Nokia you may only add songs to favorites.

I haven't done this so I can forget it anyway.

I don't know about the whole thing. Through MixRadio, Nokia collects the user's Music preferences and listening habits while at the same time you are unable to retrieve it. Ie Nokia has your data but doesn't share it with you.
On the other hand, I think MixRadio is a rather good InternetRadioStation, very personalisable, you can download offline mixes etc... but just like all stuff related to Windows Phone it is very excluding. Either you go with it a 100% or you leave it.

Theoretically yes.

There are 3 conditions:
  1. The rating is written as a tag directly to the file by a music app on the phone
  2. The songs were previously auto-synced from MMW to the phone via d_USBMass*.dll
  3. If you additionally want to sync play statistics, there must be an app on the phone that is able to use an XML file (in SRF format)

If Windows Phone supported ratings via MTP, you wouldn't need this script. MediaMonkey handles ratings and play statistics via MTP auto-sync natively, if the device (and the music app on the device) supports this.

Maybe I haven't read closely enough...
Does "any USB-device" include Windows Phones and MP3-players as well?
Do I have to do the transfer from Media Monkey to the device already using d_USBMass*.dll or is it ok to set it up in this way when syncing back?

  1. Did you start an Auto-Sync on "New Device" before trying to sync back?
    Please enable "Write debug log file" in options and try again. Afterwards send me a PM with the content of the file.

Sir, IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME (OVER TEAM VIEWER OF AMMY ETC) SYNC MY PLAYERPRO'S RATINGS BACK INTO MM EASILY, I CAN EVEN PAY THEM REASONABLE FOR THEIR TIME.

I've been studying to get my xperia Z (supports MTP and Mass Storage mode)'s Playerpro's ratings back to MM. But haven't succeeded. I've read so many threads on this forum/google that now I've started being thrown to same threads again and again.

But alas I'm confronting these same errors again and again (screen shots attached).
I'm using MM 4.0.7.1511 on Win7 Ultimate Sp1 64bit on a vaio laptop.

2. Also pls tell, if I take the micro chip outside of the mobile (after changing the rating with Playerpro) and insert it into the laptop directly (as a pen drive), can the new rating be synched with MM anyhow?

3. And last, if I sync a song from MM into a pen-drive and then change a song's rating in Windows explorer or by Winamp 5.7, can that rating be re-imported/synched back into MM automatically?

There is a new version, please either wait until you can update it semi-automatically from Addons (recommended) or install it right now from the link in the first post.

The error comes from a song in the sync list that is missing in MM. Normally this shouldn't happen. If you delete a song in MM, it should be deleted from the sync list as well. After the update you will see what the track is. If you'd like to know more about it, you can enable the log and we may have a look at the sync table via SQL.

I get this error when I try to sync back ratings..
I use the newest version of MediaMonkey, I setup the setting for my Galaxy Ace S5830, i can send the songs from pc to phone.

Normally it goes to the internal SD card. It is possible to move apps to the external SD card, but it may require root access. There is e.g. AppMgr III (App 2 SD). But I don't know if that really changes the export location. You may google for this or post your question/wish at the Player Pro Forum.

According to your screenshot you are using the XML version. This thread is about the MSC version. Please find the annswer at Sync stats for Android PlayerPro XML (MTP) and post there.
