I noticed there was some backup on the upload list. Because of limitations in grooveshark API, monkeyshark can only transfer a certain amount of files an hour. It must do this via PHP.

So when you sync your playlists, they go to the website database and are slowly fed to grooveshark.

The process that runs and feds playlists to grooveshark isn't on right now, sorry. You can run it manually by directing your internet browser to this page:
http://lysle.net/projects/grooveshark_mm_to_gs.php

Just leave your browser on that page, every few minutes it will refresh itself and continue to feed playlists to grooveshark. Today I removed a bunch of erroneous playlists that people have uploaded under blank or false usernames. But I did not restart the process, so if you want to use the plugin you really need to direct your browser to this link above.

I've recently found a way to sync MM to Google Music, you can read about it in some of my other recent posts. I prefer using Google Music because both the web and the phone apps are free, free of ads, and have better performance.

Could this thread be moved to 'Need Help with Addons?', I think it is more appropriate there since it is now complete.

MonkeyShark 1.0 - MM to GS Playlist Sync

If you have seen me post I am always whining about how I can't get my playlists onto Google Music, Grooveshark, or any other cloud device that I have tried lately. Well, thats finally over. I present to you: MonkeyShark!

http://lysle.net/projects/monkeyshark.php

It is an add-on you can download it from the above page.

In my opinion, cloud based music players are the future, and Mediamonkey will always be useful for organizing music but needs to have more compatibility with cloud services. If Mediamonkey only had functions to burn CDs and could not import music into MP3 players, it would have already died. Much the same, the Mediamonkey community needs to start creating the tools to import music into cloud players. That is what I am trying to do with this add-on and I hope you guys create add-ons that make media monkey compatible with other cloud players. Cloud players are the new 'devices' and MM needs to be compatible with them!!
