Hi,
all that basically should be done with scripting:
1. Define Line Mask <Artist> - <Title>
2. Define Correction percentage
3. Text Box to paste tracks
4. Result/preview Box that would contain Drop downs for each line to be able to select closest mach
5. Search/preview
6. Send to Playlist button

only thing is that someone needs to make it into plugin ;)

I want to do this same thing and I think this script can be used. I'm about to try it. It's the closest thing I've found anyway.

That's a feature I wanted too. I have lot of Various-Artists compilations and often need to find out which tracks I already own.

I began to code a script to do it, a few years ago... but left it unfinished.
Well, lack of time, motivation, bla bla bla.

Search for a list of songs vs. finding them one-by-one ?

by rebecca.whit3 » Sat Apr 23, 2016 4:02 am

Greetings everyone,

I want to be able to search my MediaMonkey library for many tracks simultaneously instead of searching for multiple tracks manually. I need this feature because I like to build playlists based on my LastFM listening history, which means I'm often searching for 100s if not 1000s of songs that are already in my library using a list like this:
Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence
Esperanza Spalding - Cinnamon Tree
Boards of Canada - Sick Times
Rae Sremmurd - No Flex Zone
Session Victim - Hey Stranger
Trash Talk - Locked In Skin
Chromatics - Lady
Teddy Charles - Vibrations
Run the Jewels - Oh My Darling Don't Cry
A.M. Architect - Ft. Worth
edIT - Mildew
Aim - Sail
Mount Kimbie - Maybes - James Blake Remix
Mac DeMarco - Sherrill
Afroman - Keep on Limpin'
Dizzy Gillespie - Dizzy Boogie
Fats Waller - Smashing Thirds
Zero 7 - This World
AZ - Girls R Free
Rahsaan Roland Kirk - Loving You
Rachel's - First Self-Portrait Series
Wolfgang Gartner - The Way It Was (Trampboat Remix)
Kenny Burrell - Rose Room
Mad Professor - Obeah Power
Hypnotic Brass Ensemble - Spottie
Ludwig van Beethoven - 33 Variations Over a Waltz of Anton Diabelli in C Major Op. 120 (Piacevole)
Charlie Parker - Carvin' the Bird (Take B Master)
Kromestar - Coca Cola
For example, I want to be able to do what the http://spotlistr.herokuapp.com/#/search/textbox website does using MediaMonkey instead of Spotify. Screenshot:

Although this is my first post, I've been unable to find a solution to this problem in the forums or using Google.

Would any of the members in this forum be willing to take a shot at such an extension? (Trixmoto perhaps?) I think a lot of users would benefit from said functionality. In addition, I'm also interested in related source code if anybody knows of any (I have a little experience coding).

Thank you!
