Hi Peke,

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out in the end! (Sorry, I realise I didn't end up attaching the images I meant to on my first post.) The error I was getting was a VBScript error in MusicBrainzWebTag.vbs, so I took a look inside the file and realised it includes DiscogsAutoTagWeb.vbs, so I went there and found that at the end of line 1349 it has a special character which the compiler couldn't read. One of these: (a question mark in a diamond)
I deleted that character, and hey presto - it all works. It is at the end of a country list line with Venezuela. Weird! I'm surprised noone else has had this problem, but I've been messing around with character encoding on my computer to try and get Korean characters so that might be why.
Thank you for replying to my post. :D

Hi,
Your firewall/Antivirus is most likely blocking the connection, what version of windows you have and what antivirus you use?

You can try Windows Firewall Control app (it is free for now) https://www.binisoft.org/wfc and see if that helps.

Hello :) I couldn't find the solution for this problem so far in this thread or elsewhere, so I hope someone can help me. I downloaded MediaMonkey today and it looks fantastic so far. However, after installing the Discogs Tagger add-on I get Error #1033 (see attachments) when I click Auto-Tag from Web (from right click on track). If I remove the extension it goes away. Obviously, I would like to have this as it looks like a really useful feature. Is there a solution for this problem? I've tried fiddling about with the configuration, removing the add-on and reapplying it, reinstalling MediaMonkey, but all with the same result. :(
Cheers in advance

[Update: web address corrected]
Hi,

I installed the discogs tagger and created a Discogs account.
When I click the "Authorize the ... " link I get the message
"Can't reach this page"
- Make sure the web address "https://www.germanc64.de" is correct
- Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_Found
How can I heal this behaviour?
Did you tried it again ? Maybe the server wasn't available for a short time.
Before I posted my message I tried it different times on that day but with no success.
Today it works again as before without changing anything from my side. :D

Thank you for your answer!

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response. I'll work on it from the Firewall side, bang my head on the desk a few times, and update the other thread if I find the fix for it. :-)

"No Update Server Available". Is this something on my end, or something on the other end? I haven't had any issues before, so I don't think it's my Firewall.
After reading your other post about your firewall problems i think it IS the firewall.

Started getting the following error message this evening

Error #2146697211 - msxml6.dll
The system cannot locate the resource specified

File "C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsWebTag.vbs" Line:6341, Column:3

I'm using the latest version of MediaMonkey 4.1.23 1881 and Discogs Tagger v5.64 on a Windows 10 laptop.

I trying rebooting and reinstalling MediaMonkey. Neither seemed to work. I tried downloading the latest script from the Addons page, but the host site appears to be down.

Ironically, the Musicbrainz tagger seems to work fine.
Would you please try it again ? Another user has the same problem and he tried it again later and it works. I think it must be a problem with the discogs webpage.

I've seen a PDF of instructions for trying to get discogs to work with media monkey function of looking up an artist via the web but the instructions are outdated and no longer work.

I need complete instructions on what I am supposed to do to authorize Discogs to work with media monkey. The process seems to be incomplete, not working and not documented very well.

After creating an account, the application link in settings for Discogs has no instruction on how to authorize the application.
"You haven't yet authorized any applications to access your account."

The next step only links to the developer page in which you create an application, call it media monkey, and then I'm given a
the following:

Consumer Key KEY IS HERE
Consumer Secret More gibberish
Request Token URL https://api.discogs.com/oauth/request_token
Authorize URL https://www.discogs.com/oauth/authorize
Access Token URL https://api.discogs.com/oauth/access_token

The URL links keep telling me I am using the wrong format and offers zero guidance as to what is wrong.

Media Monkey application itself under Tools / options / Discogs Tagger there is an option to input values for
1. Discogs Access Token
2. Access token and a access Token secret.

Inputting the consumer key and consumer secret values into the fields does nothing. There is no URL to use to direct media moneky either.

I'm lost on how to make this function work.
Hi,

on which point of the pdf instructions do you stuck ?
