Now it kinda works, if I set the tracks to 1 and 2.
These are good news.

The Tagger auto-tags both tracks to "B", but the Titles are correct.
That's weird. Mediamonkey doesn't tag 2 songs with the same discogs-track. It always try to match the song names from the selected songs with the songs found at discogs. Automatic tagging doesn't work 100%, if the song names are equal.

If you have many LP's with same song title or song title like "track1.mp3" and "track2.mp3" you should try the Discogs Batch Tagger. It's like the Discogs Tagger, but it doesn't use the matching from mediamonkey. It use tracking order. If the files have no tracking order or the tracking order is wrong, you can simply move the files in the lower part of the window, so it match with the songs.

If you give it a try, i would be happy if you give me a feedback, if this Addon helps you or if you have problems using it.

Best regards,
Sven

It has worked before for me with automatic tagging of the tracks, when I have named the files after the LP track, e.g.

C:\VRip\A1.flac
C:\VRip\B1.flac

Hi,

I set the track numbers to A and B respectively in MM but I get the same results (question marks).

Can it have something to do with the use of LP track indexing (A1, A2, B1,... etc.)?
The LP track indexing is no Problem.

The question mark says, that mediamonkey can't assign the tracks to the tracks from discogs.

Please try to set them to 1 and 2 in the mediamonkey library.

I have set the check boxes but I only get question marks instead of song titles.
I tried to post a screenshoot but I get the message
"You can’t post image, email or url links that are external to this domain. Please remove"

Instead I have sent you a screenshot via your website. I hope that is ok.
Hi Peter,

i got your screenshot, thank you. I answer your email but gmail refused it. :( I think i have to check my email configuration about authentication settings.

Please try to set the track numbers for the 2 Songs in mediamonkey and try to tag again.

Best regards,
Sven

I tried the release and can't see any problem tagging the song titles.

Did you set the check boxes near the song title?

Hi,

I recently encountered a problem.Trying to tag a ripped vinyl album, Discogs Tagger failed to fill in the song titles. The other tags seemed to work. I tried to install an older version but it did not help. I also tried with two different albums, but the problem was the same.

I use MM 4.1.23.1881 and Discogs Tagger 5.64.

I have used Discogs Tagger for many years, without problems. It is a truly great tool.
Hi,

which album you try to tag ? The Discogs release number would help me to reproduce your problem.

Hi Peke,

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out in the end! (Sorry, I realise I didn't end up attaching the images I meant to on my first post.) The error I was getting was a VBScript error in MusicBrainzWebTag.vbs, so I took a look inside the file and realised it includes DiscogsAutoTagWeb.vbs, so I went there and found that at the end of line 1349 it has a special character which the compiler couldn't read. One of these: (a question mark in a diamond)
I deleted that character, and hey presto - it all works. It is at the end of a country list line with Venezuela. Weird! I'm surprised noone else has had this problem, but I've been messing around with character encoding on my computer to try and get Korean characters so that might be why.
Thank you for replying to my post. :D

Hi,
Your firewall/Antivirus is most likely blocking the connection, what version of windows you have and what antivirus you use?

You can try Windows Firewall Control app (it is free for now) https://www.binisoft.org/wfc and see if that helps.

Hello :) I couldn't find the solution for this problem so far in this thread or elsewhere, so I hope someone can help me. I downloaded MediaMonkey today and it looks fantastic so far. However, after installing the Discogs Tagger add-on I get Error #1033 (see attachments) when I click Auto-Tag from Web (from right click on track). If I remove the extension it goes away. Obviously, I would like to have this as it looks like a really useful feature. Is there a solution for this problem? I've tried fiddling about with the configuration, removing the add-on and reapplying it, reinstalling MediaMonkey, but all with the same result. :(
Cheers in advance
