Closing the loop. I bulk changed Director & Producer to be empty fields, the issue still existed. I started messing with columns and I discovered that the culprit was "Album Artist". I'm not sure how the tag got written that way but so be it. I changed the type of all effected files to music, cleared Album Artist, changed type back to TV, and the issue is "resolved".

I had a handful that I noticed had the series name in the director field, but I cleared those and it is still a thing...

I will bulk change the director and produce fields to blank and report back.

I have this in DLNA listings

[SOLVED] Weird Parentheses thing in TV Series

In my TV collection, when I look under "Series" I have several entries where there are two listings. One is just the series name, the other is the series name, then the same thing in parentheses.

Example:

The X-Files
The X-Files (The X-Files).

The first folder has only Season 11, the second fold Seasons 1-10. The are organized correctly in my folder structure though. I can see no discernible difference in the file names, tagging, etc. that would cause this.

It's not causing any actual problems, it's just tweaking my sense of order in the universe.

Thanks in advance!
