only use mma and the default player don't add any others to the device they might be causing the issue with mma

Interesting. The EQ in Doubletwist and Playerpro works fine but MMA does not on mine.

ALSO.. FWIW I am having unbelieveable problems with the display of artwork only in MMA. Doubletwist, Playerpro, and the Samsung default player all work fine.

Any ideas would be welcome as I am becoming disillusioned with MMA.

You mean a cgeap sound chip on the Note 10.1? For what it cost it should be GOLD PLATED!!!

Ran the Cache cleaner and tried several eq settings. Heard no change in sound. (still tinny). Tried it with Bluetooth as well. Nothing.

Device was updated about a week ago to V 4.4.2. Don't know if it worked before the update.

This is a tablet not a cell phone but should not be different for this.

Ideas?

possible firmware change on your cellphone? or one is needed on it? check that out. and if you installed it 99 times then you might need to clean out the cache on your phone, avg moble has a cache cleaner that works for this on a weekly timer on the free version of the cleaner.

Just tried on my Note 10 (last years model ) and the eq seems to be working fine. Same for my G3. What exact settings are you trying for?

Have you tried the 'custom' settings .. go from rock to dance to classical etc. I see a big difference (for little tiny itsy bitsy speakers

Just recently installed MMA for at least the 99th time!
Connected with Bluetooth to a Samsung soundbar.
Equalizer settings have no effect. Tried max boost and max cut and no change. Volume works but equalizer doesn't. Any ideas?

No, it works fine here. Which build are you currently on?

The equalize in MMA does not appear to have any effect on sound. (yes, it's turned on) Is there anything special I need to set to use it?
