There is a bug in Chromecast itself, it causes wifi dropouts for many. Google supposedly fixed this in the latest Beta of Play Services.

Temporary interruptions in wifi are a common problem. In any case you can always send a debug log from MMA (from About screen) right after this happens and open a Support Ticket with the logID for the developers to look into this. I guess that the more logs from different devices/setups the better this can be dealt with.

I'm streaming music from my Samsung Galaxy A3 phone SD card directly with MMA (cast to) to my LOEWE TV+audiosystem, which works fantastic. However, I'm having same problem of player pausing often towards the end of a track. In most cases it resumes playing after 10-30 seconds but it may also take minutes. What is causing this, and what can be done about it? Many thanks for any suggestions

Send a debug log from About in MMA right after you experience this and open a Support Ticket with the logID.

Chromecast has proven to be difficult to work with. It seems relatively unreliable in maintaining a connection and this affects other Apps as well.

Every couple of songs while streaming audio to Chromecast, play will stop a few seconds before the end of a song and I have to manually press Next to get the playlist to continue.

It's quite possible it is something to do with Chromecast and the devices themselves, and have seen threads elsewhere on the matter but they are all a couple of years old and don't mention songs stopping right before the end.

MMA still shows that it is playing, and gives the option to pause (rather than play). If I hit pause and then play again, I have to re-connect to the chromecast to continue playback.

Any input would be appreciated.
