In case you missed it, LAME 3.99.5 was recently released.

LAME seems to be cranking out small updates. They recently released version 3.99.3.

LAME is usually in a zip file, so you will download the zip file with all the files.

And yeah, MediaMonkey just uses lame_enc.dll

True, the decoder is the active mp3 input plugin.

you will need to find the name of the encoder used by monkey. change that name by adding a number to it.
by adding the number to it you make the file unseen by monkey so you then just
rename the lame encoder the name that monkey had his encoder called just don't add the number to it.
