ASIO and Volume/Mute

by GeraldB » Thu Sep 04, 2008 12:56 pm

The support knowledge base contains this statement about the use of an ASIO plug-in: "By avoiding D/A conversion, this should result in much improved sound quality."

I am using the ASIO4ALL output plugin. It is difficult to compare performance because I can't switch plug-ins instantly and volume can't be matched easily. Nevertheless, I've experimented quite a bit and believe the sound quality with the plug-in is better. However MM volume control and mute are disabled when the plug-in is used.

My wish: volume and mute that work with an ASIO output plug-in.
