When you use "Convert songs" command, it does the same as other software - grabs tracks and optionally converts them to a selected format.

Caching is somewhat different - it is intended for a temporary copy of data on removable media, which can be deleted any time, probably when there isn't enough space on a harddrive. They still appear as the original tracks, because it allows work with a CD which actually isn't inserted and for example playback counter can be increased for such tracks.

I find the current process less than intuitive.

When ripping a cd to hard disk there appears to be 2 options - grab or cache but both appear to do the same. After caching the song is shown to be in the same format and directory as the cd it came from but has in fact moved to the cache directory - all confusing.

Can process be simplified to just have Rip CD or Record CD buttons as other progs and then show where song actually is, as an mp3 file, rather than where it came from.
