Yes, I do.

I agree with you and already entered this in Mantis several months ago:

I always have parent playlists that are simply containers for the child playlists. Do you have playlists that contain tracks of their own and child playlists?

What if I do want the parent playlist synced? As nested playlists in MediaMonkey are meaningless and are merely for organizational or aesthetic purposes nothing should be assumed in my opinion. I do understand your wish though.

... then don't select the parent playlist for synchronisation then.

I was involved with this one http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=48688 which is attempting to do something similar.

I create a new playlist regularly each week and then sync to my iPhone. It just annoys me that I put them all in the same folder yet there is no easy way to add it to the Auto-Sync list for the device.

There was a discussion about this recently if I recall correctly and something was going to be changed, can't find the topic right now.

I wouldn't want this at all. MediaMonkey shouldn't auto-select playlists for me.

For a synchronised device within the Auto-sync List Playlist tab it is possible to select a parent playlist that contains other playlists and when selecting it it in turn selects it's contained playlists. This is logical and convenient. Individual contained playlists can be selected or deselected, again all very logical.

I then close this dialogue and create a playlist and position it within the parent playlist above. Reopening the Auto-sync List again shows that this new playlist is NOT selected for synchronisation. NOT logical at all.

I think that the creation of a playlist within a parent playlist which is already synchronised to a device then it should inherit the sychronisation state of the parent.
