Problem: Whenever I organise my music, I have one folder on my external hard drive that contains all unsorted music, untagged music that isn't in the library yet. Once I tag an album in there I then auto-organise and it auto adds to the library. The problem is, I use this folder so often that it becomes cumbersome when sifting through the My Computer node to get to this folder.
Request: What I would like is go to this particular folder path under "My Computer" node (for me it's H:\<Username>\Music 2\Albums), right click this folder and have option "
add to media tree". Basically a shortcut/node to a folder, under My Computer, added to the media tree containing files not in the library.
Tested: I’ve tried using Magic Nodes, which is what I wanted. I set it up perfectly to have this option using <path>, however it only worked with tracks in the library.
After an hour searching, I came to this thread and I noticed you nice devs posted a favourite nodes script. I tried it out and this has been the best script so far doing exactly what I want, a shortcut to a folder. However it only shows a toolbar icon, not a separate media tree node.
So is there anything that links the two scripts together? If not, could someone be kind enough to make a simple script like this please, it would be so great and many people would appreciate it.
Apologises if this has already been requested/answered/not possible/too many threads on this/possible with scripts mentioned above/possible with script not mentioned above. Also I’m sorry if I’ve posted this to the wrong thread.
Thanks
