Well, it really isn't needed for me, because you can use an external application to do it while the file is playing in MM (like Haali media splitter, which runs in the tray when you start playback of a video file in MM). It can pick and choose the audio track and the subtitle used, and it's included by default in any decent codec pack which you will need installed anyway to play back videos in MM.
But anyway that issue is already tracked for future versions of MM:
