nohitter151, when you hit f6 (default for Tools -> Options -> Hotkeys -> General: Go to the Now Playing node) you're taken away from your current playlist or where ever you'd browsed to in the tree. to me the downfall here is that the currently playing track isn't selected so you can't easily hit f6,shift+enter to get at the properties to a currently playing file. another fix could be a hotkey option to open up the Properties window for the currently playing track.

but like traxxexbbb, i also want a keyboard shortcut to open up the currently playing track in Windows Explorer. i can't find the command to launch Windows Explorer (or whatever default file manager) at all inside MediaMonkey.

thanks for any tips!

You can already set a hotkey for that (Options > Hotkeys)

Shortcut to jump to Now Playing Track. not the now playing node.
like the feature in iTunes shortcut for now playing track there is Ctrl+L

likewise i would really love to get the same here.

The problem i am facing is that its hard to get to the now playing track if you are playing 1000s of tracks at a time. that will be of gr8 use. I know you can access properties and all but getting to the track is bit difficult. say if i want to browse the track on Explorer i would have to go to properties then copy the location and the paste it in explorer. if i can get to the track that will be a piece of cake.
