I just tested on the latest release, and it seems to work fine.
I think your problem is based on MediaMonkey treating ";" as a reserved UI delimiter/separator.
For WMA, MediaMonkey stores the multiple entries as discrete tag entries in the WMA container. XP Explorer doesn't read them (by design: only the first entry), but Vista does... as well as Media Player 10/11. The latest Mp3tag release (2.4) will read them, too.
Do note that WMP 10/11, Vista shell, etc. also reserves the ; character for the UI. (And I don't think there is an escape method, but I'm not sure.)
