Build 1249
(This post is related to other posts about Unsynchronized Tags, e.g.
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=38623 and
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=39634, but to avoid muddle those threads...)
I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it seems odd that MediaMonkey considers the tags in some files unsynchronized.
Steps to replicate:
- download and save
http://www.archive.org/download/Malcolm ... to_Bed.mp3
- Add/Re-scan the Malcolm_X_Put_Them_to_Bed.mp3 track into MediaMonkey
- go to Files to Edit/Unsychronized Tags
- notice how track shows up and the fields Title, Artist and Genre are highlighted (Title=Put Them to Bed, Artist=Malcolm X, Genre=Speech)
I assume (but may be wrong) that the values displayed in the track listing and highlighted in yellow are the values that MediaMonkey has stored in the library/database, and not the values stored/existing in the tags.
Examining the mp3 file in Windows Explorer (admittingly, not the world's greatest tag editor...), shows the values are the same as MediaMonkey displays (Title=Put Them to Bed, Artist=Malcolm X, Genre=Speech).
If the values are indeed the same, why does MM consider these tags to be unsynchronized?
