K, I had this problem a few times. Solution: Go to Devices (i.e. your Ipod); select the 'Music' menu; ensure that all playlists you want on your IPOD are 'checked'; then, hit the SYNC button in the lower right.....; this should solve the problem and get your new playlist onto your IPOD - it's these niggling things with Apple that are frustrating (relative to Android)

Hi Alienware,

Re. the album art problem, I tried to replicate, but am able to store different images to each album. I'm guessing that the tracks in question share some common images because those images appear in the directory of all of the files.

Thanks for the feedback. Any change with build 1493?

One other question: when you run MM, is iTunes also running?

no changes with 1493 release version, but i did something i never did b4: tried the debug version instead (of 1493). it worked completely great except 4 the fact that it tags all the album art 4 a single album with the same art, regardless of whether u have different arts 4 different tracks.

4 example: i make hip hop beats & tag em w/ the same album, but different arts.
like this: assassination mandate has this:

but goblin squad has this:

but they both come up with the album art thats on alot of the other tracks w the same album:

also to answer ur other question ive tried it w/out itunes running, and also tried itunes w/o MM running. nothing worked.
w the debug even itunes can sync again. no matter whats running.

if it helps w the tag thing i have both the album arts i showed u tagged as 1st art along with the louie gray beats logo as a 2nd album art on each beat. but id really rather not have to retag each of them one by one if thats the way to get it to do it right cause there's seriously hundreds of them like that.

yes i have tried deleting all files w/ MM, but then it still wont let me sync with itunes, so doing that is impossible. and the regular sync doesnt work either. also tried to sync a few playlists from MM to ipod yesterday, and the playlists appeared after the second plug-back-in, but when i went to school i noticed that there were almost no tracks in each playlist, and i had a lot of tracks in each playlist in MM. also itunes saw a few more tracks than the ipod did, and MM saw a few more. the biggest problem is that they really didnt sync at all, cause when i go into the full music library on itouch, the ones that were supposed to be in the playlists but werent were not on the ipod at all. plus this is a minor problem but the track tags like the album art and all that only synced on a few of the songs that actually did sync.

Have you tried to delete all files on the iPod using MediaMonkey, then sync a file with iTunes to the iPod and then do a regular sync with MediaMonkey?

iPod not syncing w/ iTunes after syncing w/ MM

Post by alienware377 » Thu May 24, 2012 9:11 pm

hello im using MM 4.0.5.1492 (latest beta) on win 7 x64 & itunes 10.6.1.7 and ipod touch 4th generation firmware v5.1.1.
for some reason, when i finally actually successfully synced a few playlists to the ipod with MM, not all of them showed up on ipod, some of them didnt show up until i unplugged it and replugged it, but all of them show up on MM, and i dont remember which ones showed up on itunes, but i think it was all of them. most of them never showed up at all on ipod, and a few of them deleted randomly. also, the worst part is MM blocked itunes from syncing with ipod.
i am somehow am still able to back up my ipod on itunes tho.
so, this means that i am only able to sync my ipod with a piece a non working bs rite now. dont get me wrong i love MM, y do u think i tried to sync my ipod w/ it in the 1st place?
anyway, i hope u can fix this prob 4 me soon. Thx. heres a pic to show the prob im havin:
