Yes, all three versions (MediaMonkey 4, MediaMonkey 5, MediaMOnkey for Andorid) works for downloading tracks from UPnP/DLNA sources.
In the windows versions (4&5) just right-click > Download.
Windows version 5 can cache the streamed tracks automatically (based on the Options > Player > Streaming settings)

Do MediaMonkey and BubbleUpnp render the same as MX Player download? Does it work as video downloader as well? Is it free and am I able to watch the downloaded video offline? Can you give me knowledge about this?

Just to ensure:

a) is the tested track classified as video in MediaMonkey? i.e. if you right-click the track > Properties then does it show Type: Video, TV, Video Podcast or Music Video ?

b) is the tested track MKV or it fails also for MP4 video? It could be related to http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 305#c30931
Where I had to change mime type from "video/x-matroska" to "video/x-mkv" to be able to play MKVs on Samsung TV.

c) if you could generate debug log (using step 4b here http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69 ) then I could see what kind of metadata is served when playing the file from MediaMonkey to the renderer.

Sorry mis-read your post, strange why it's not working for me, I also tried Mezzmo instead of BubbleUPNP for the render device, and same issue it only plays the audio of the video,

however if I use any other software to play to the render (such as another Mezzmo or BubbleUPNP, localcast to cast to the "render" device) the movie plays fine, or UPPlay ( http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/upplay/ ) it also plays fine.

it's only when trying to use MediaMonkey the video won't playback, it's only playing the audio, it's almost like it's not sending the metadata or it's not seeing it as a video file

Tested Scenarios
H96 Pro TV Box - Android 6.0.1
BubbleUPNP + MX Player Pro
Mezzmo + Mezzmo Video Player, or MX Player Pro (tried both)
Built in DLNA Software
^ all just play the audio of the video file but fail to play the video when using MediaMonkey to send the file over

PC1 (main pc)
Media Monkey (Sending video to the TV box fails, audio works)
upplay (Sending video / audio to the TV box works fine)

PC 2 & 3
Serviio as Media Server.

Android Phone
Mezzmo (as client) - Sending video to tv box works fine
BubbleUPNP (as client) - Sending video to tv box also works

so basically Media Monkey is the only one failing and I can't figure out why, I tried the 5 beta and the current 4 version, firewall is disabled and all runtimes are up-todate I am running Windows 10 x64 dunno what else to try.

I use "MX Player" as my default player, do you mean you played a file directly from BubbleUpnp and it worked?.
or did you play the video file using MediaMonkey and selecting BubbleUpnp as the renderer/play to device?

Hi,
I installed BubbleUPnP on GS3 (Android 4) , selected Bubble UPnP as renderer in MMW (right-click on MMW player > Choose Player) and double clicked MP4 video.
In BubbleUPnP it wrote an error that I need to configure a default video player in Bubble UPnP > Settings > Local Renderer > Remote Control
so I configured the default video player and the file played just fine.

I tested also MKV (H264, 1920x1080, 16:9) and it also played fine.

Which default video player do you configured in BubbleUPnP ?

Hello, No transcoding is going on, I tried all kinds of formats, mostly MKV, with h264 and aac audio, files play fine locally in MediaMonkey just have the issue when casting, maybe its a issue with BubbleUPNP + MediaMonkey , BubbleUPNP is supposed to launch a video player but for some reason only plays the audio when it gets a request from MediaMonkey.
(but plays fine from other players)

Can you install BubbleUpnp on a android device and see if you can cast a video file to it from MediaMonkey?

Hi,
I'm unable to replicate using Serviio/twonky/MiniDLNA on QNAP, and Android phone with 6.0.1

Do files play locally in MMW? What is the format of files? As lowlander said any conversion profiles set?

Re: MediaMonkey (windows), BubbleUpnp Render (android) -no v

by Bibo » Sat Jan 14, 2017 2:26 am

Sorry for the late reply, no conversion is going on, here is my setup
MediaMonkey 4.1.14.1813 (PC Windows 10) as the mediaplayer, Serviio as the DLNA / UPNP server, and then I have a H96 pro TV Box (android 6.0) setup with BubbleUpnp as the "cast device or media render"..

So I use MediaMonkey to browse the serviio shares and it sees everything fine, I select BubbleUpnp as the render, when I click play I can see the filename show in BubbleUpnp but it doesn't launch MXPlayer like it normally does and all I can hear is the audio playing.

now if I use another player for example Upplay, or Mezzmo ...etc videos playback fine using the same server and BubbleUpnp device so I'm pretty sure it's MediaMonkey causing the issue.

I also tried the MediaMonkey 5 beta and it has the same issue.

Any Auto-Conversion set to happen? Which version of MMW?

MediaMonkey (windows), BubbleUpnp Render (android) -no video

I believe this is an issue with MediaMonkey and not bubbleupnp, when I go to play a video to a BubbleUpnp renderer the video doesn't play on android, I can hear audio but no video, looks like it's not launching the video player, I already checked BubbleUpnp is not the issue since when using another program like Upplay (windows), the video plays fine on the renderer device so BubbleUpnp is working properly, I think MediaMonkey is not identifying the file or....?
