Victor.
thats why you make a test folder in your skins folder to test your in process skins.
and thats why you make a folder for your skins that are in production in it you should have folders called the name of each player mskn and the theme mskn plus the icon folder.
when you make your skin you work in that folder and in that icon folder is where you put the png files for the no album art image. then it is that folder you zip in the msz file.
each skin in production should have its own set of folders.
so you never mess up your main skin (if you use them in folders and not msz files) you use in the monkeys skin folder.
- c:\program files\media monkey\skins\test\mynew skin.msz
that is the folder directory for your nearly completed skins testing.
- c:\program files\media monkey 3 skins\production skins\
that or something like that should be where all your work files are at.
in that production folder you should have folders like this.
- .....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\theme\
.....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\player\
.....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\floating\
.....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\microplayerH\
.....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\microplayerV\
.....media monkey 3 skins\production\my new wow skin\icons\
setting them up like that will keep you files from getting messed up for each skin. ( i tried to say that in the lesson on the wiki but i did not put it in that type of view)
the msz file will not overwrite the png in the folder for the main folder's icon folder. what should be said it does is assume command of the displaying of the noaart.png from the default file.
and even though the folder zipped in the msz file is called icons it can not change the icons of the program yet. they are still trying to get that to work.
so you can only change the one, no album art image.
