Can't wait till you release it! I love that the micro-player has a little album art pic on it. Sweet. :D

remember you can use dual colors on the seek bar. nohitter151 did it on his skin and thats how i was able to get the long stretch images on some of my skins. just use the copy feature of the skin engine.

open a skin that has what you want to use. find that object in the skin mskn file select it and press the copy button on the engine. then open you players skin select the word object or the object name of which one you found it in the other skin,
if it is part of the seek bar objcet then you would select seekbar on your skins list, and then click the paste button
you now have the other skins object in your skin.
just change the name of it in the right hand code edit colume by removing the words Copyof from the
name so you got the needed name for the object to work.
and change the shape, size and colors to match your skin. :)
don't do an exact copy of the other skinners object thats uncool. :(

but that way you can get button codes and other item codes if you wish to make that improvement to your skin.

just don't forget to copy that section information out of the other player's ini file and past it in the to proper players ini file for your skin. and change the sizes and locations in that ini code also. 8)

sometimes thats the only way to get an imporvement in the skins because they are made faster then the wiki is updated.

Little update!

Micro player is done. :D I decided not to go with the slider 'knob' on the track progress, and went with a lighter green on the track position. White looked horrible next to the artist - album information when it stretched over that far, and the green I first picked was too dark.

I'm not sure what track pop up it is over the player, because I've mashed so many things together to get started, but I think it comes from Vitreous Blue.

I lost the password and can't retrieve it since I don't have access to the e-mail account.

Just one thing though, I use a media keyboard too so I couldn't care less, but whats the point of a microplayer if you're not going to have controls on it? :P
To show the track information, of course!
That's really the only reason I like my micro player. I might do a different version after my initial release that has buttons, but I don't know yet.

Just wanted a clean little interface with the track title, artist and album name, progress bar and time counter. Glad other people are excited too!
yepper i knows ya from before but ya changed ya name??
Yeah, I left the company I was working with and I don't have access to the e-mail address on the account any more. :(
i personaly cant' see the use in making skins that are the way i use the program
Well why else would I work on something that I want to use? :P I may work on something more universal after my personal one is done, but we'll see.

how come you don't put on the controls they are easy to add and don't need to be big buttons are anything.
all my micro players use control buttons of the original mico player which are just small buttons.

you can copy the ini files for the microplayer H and microplayer V and just change the size and look of the background bmp. and move the locations of the buttons..
i personaly cant' see the use in making skins that are the way i use the program. since most like to use it their own way. so i add all the buttons i can get on all the players. and let it up to them to use the player they way they want.

but to each his own. :) i'm just glad you are making a skin.

Exactly! ;)

I'm excited to see this one. I only use skins that have micro-players with track information and preferably a time remaining display. Looks like this might be another to add to my collection.

Skin in Progress

I finally decided to start working on a skin (the other Keith will know me from months ago when I said I was going to start one heh).

Here's my mock-up for the mini player:

Here's what I have so far!

I'm making steady progress, and hope to have some sort of usable micro player wrapped up by Monday, then I'll start on the other views. :D

Don't ask for play control buttons or a volume slider on the micro player, I use my multi-media keyboard, so I probably won't be supporting them.

I'm also thinking that the green text on the play position will be switched to white, it was a good idea in the mock-up, in execution it's difficult to read.
