I have tried to setup database in the portable HD including the following line in the ini file, in whatever place of the SYSTEM section, as mentioned in the web page.

DBName=M:\MediaMonkey\MM.DB

The behaviour of MM3 is:

1. Do not understand the directive.
2. Discard the complete ini file.
3. Starts from scratch generating a new ini file and DB file.

The same happens with MM2.

Which is the correct directive syntax?

Actually, I've installed MM3 to an USB HD containing the music, just in one PC. Go to other PC, start MM3 directly clicking twice the executable. Program started and set registry keys. I had to configure again in the new PC. That is a mix solution till portability comes a true.
This works fine keeping the same letter for the portable HD in both PCs. And also coping the ini and DB files from the las PC to the new PC.

MM3 on USB key?

Has anyone done this? How?

(USB key portability (i.e. eliminaiton of reliance on the registry) is something that we had to push from MM 3.0, but we hope to add it in the near future. I expect, though, that there are a number of ways in which this can be achieved using tools that create a registry proxy, but hopefully someone can confirm or deny this.)

Is is possible to configure MM3 to work in a portable device?
That means: keeping database and ini files in the same portable as program and music.
Explanation given in the web doesn't work for me. Could you explain the exactly syntax?
Portable device will have the same letter in several computers.
