Hello,
Here is what happened...
I was trying to install MM in a networked computer where it could play the tracks and have all the info available from another computer on the network, so if I made a new playlist or rate a song it will update the info in just 1 machine.
I didn't backup the database and lost most of the information on each track, like play count, play dates, rating, etc.
The original MM.db that contained the information was re written by the new Media Monkey installation. So i tried to recover the db file with a recovery software and ended up with the database file but when I try to use that file, MM won't start.
The splash screen will hang forever. If I hover over the icon on the task bar (Windows 7), a very small message says something about the database being unable to upgrade.
Any thought on this? Is there a way to repait the database?
Thanks for your help...
