Version 3178 was released with some fixes for the hang at start problem and has been reported by affected users as starting reliably so far.

If hangs are still a problem for you it is worth getting that version - latest at time of writing.

Cheers
Matt

Very humble apologies for not responding, but due to a family medical emergency, I have not been back to my PC until now.

As it happens the first thing I did was upgrade to Win 11, and shortly afterwards retried MM5/2024, which started first time. Thank you for responding and apologies for not getting back sooner.

Please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

I think the latest beta I saw was MediaMonkey_2024.2.0.3167, but, as mentioned, I had the same issue with that too unfortunately.

Please try the latest MediaMonkey 2024.2 beta build to see if the issue is resolved for you.

Not used MM for a few weeks but was working fine until I came to use it again, when it stuck on splash screen on startup. Have to End Task to remove splash. Uninstalled, reinstalled with latest build from main site - same. GPU drivers utd. Same result running NoGPU. Unable to locate MM5.DB and don't have a MediaMonkey5 directory, just MediaMonkey, but there is no .db, MediaMonkey.ini, persistent.json or MetadataCache\. Deleted old MediaMonkey4 directory, but nothing in it. Uninstalled and installed MediaMonkey_2024.2.0.3167. Rebooted. Same. Think there has been a Windows Update since last used successfully and looked through KB and Forum which prompted above steps.
