What version of MM were you using prior to upgrade?

You might want to send the MM3 database to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... &_a=submit

Thanks... but no luck.

Installed 4.0.2, started with a backup of my MM3 database and let MM4 convert it a new. Collection criteria and auto-playlist filters are both failing when partial matches are used. Also tried changing Match All and Match Any and got the same results.

When running a complete database optimize I get the following error dialog immediately after starting the optimization.

If I click the Ignore button twice the optimization runs for awhile (I can see the MM.DB-journal file being opened and closed) and then the process just hangs with no file i/o or cpu activity. There is definitely something wrong with the database here.

Checking on 4.0.2 Genre contains Jazz brings up files with Genre's Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Jazz Instrumental as expected. Did you enter other criteria or change Match All to Match Any? Does it also fail for an AutoPlaylist?

Maybe make sure you're using 4.0.2 and run File > Maintain Library with complete optimization enabled can fix this.

MM4 Collections not Working

Just upgraded from MM3.x to MM4.0.1.1461 and cannot get Collections to work properly. Setting the filter criteria to anything that takes an exact value works fine:

    Genre equals Classic Rock
    Type equals Music
    Artist equals Tool
But specifying a partial match on any filter criteria does not work. The filtered collection just comes up empty:

    Genre contains Classic
    Path/Filename contains D:\Music
I made extensive use of filters, specifically Path/Filename, in MM3 to partition my library so getting this to work in MM4 is huge for me.

TIA
Mark
