Thanks for the advice. I tried your suggestion, but it seems to affect only the artist field and not the album name.

Go to Tools>Library>Appearance and check the box for Ignore prefixes when sorting by Artist and enter the prefixes you want ignored. I believe you need to use a semi-colon for more than one. Play with it or wait for Lowlander to correct me :D

newbie needs sort help

Perhaps I'm not searching by the right criteria, but I can't seem to find the answer to this in either the Help files or the forum:
When my albums appear alphabetically by title, they include the articles "the" and "a", which throws off the sort. Is there any way
to have the sort ignore initial articles? Any help with this will be deeply appreciated.
