MediaMonkey can't auto-ID based on audio. There was the MusicIP Tagger addon, but I fear it no longer works. You may want to check for Picard on the interwebs.

Oh, just FYI, what I want Monkey Media to do is go through my whole collection, ID the files and rename them to whatever database has the information

Right now, I'm going through with Shazzam and IDing each one manually and its taking forever :)

Hi there,

Over the last 10 years, I've been ripping my CDs in WAV/WMV formats (lossless) into iTunes. Usually, I just name everything manually as I go.

Recently I had my main PC stolen as well as the backups.

I had another backup of the raw files.

When I tried to add these to iTunes, I got a whole swag of "Track 02 02" "Track 02 01" etc

I started by trying using a program called TuneUp but that failed miserably as most of my files had been imported as .WAVs

So I did some digging and a whole lot of people recommended coming here and trying Monkey Media ..

I bought the full version and added my old iTunes directory. Within it all the "Track 01" files are there. When I try to identify them via Amazon (any of them) I get a "unknown" error

Is there any way I can use Monkey Media to auto tag/identify the 1000s of tracks I have without going through and editing each and every one manually?

Kind regards

Top
