I have a similar problem. Mysteriously, 95% of my music has been duplicated in the listing (NOT in the actual directory on the C drive). What's weird is the 5% or so that are NOT duplicated. Sometimes it's a whole album, other times it's a few songs in the middle of an album. The songs that SHOULD be there have a C:\.... path. Those that are duplicates have a ?\... path. I THINK I know what happened: A disk scan indicated that, in the near future, I would start having errors on my drive. So over Thanksgiving, I cloned the existing drive (not YET having any errors) onto a brand new drive. Therefore, temporarily, those drives were both on at the same time. I have since removed the old drive (I may still use it as an extra, external drive), and am now booting and referencing Media Monkey (4.1.18.1859) on my PC (Win-10/64). There must be over 3,000 duplicated entries. I'm STILL not sure how or why most were duplicated. However, the main questions is: Is there some way to fix this other than deleting the entries 1-by-1? Thanks!
