I got it figured out. It is a Windows thing. This is a new WIN7 64bit install.
Right click on the blank screen and go to personalize.
Select color at the bottom.
Uncheck Enable transparency.
Now slide the color intensity to get the desired look.

I have the latest Firefox and MediaMonkey. That transparent border has to go away.
It is hard to read the player on MM and other things. Anybody got a cure for this.
