Hi Lowlander
Lowlander wrote:(this will not undo it however).
That's not a problem - I can undo them myself if it's not going to redo all my undo-ing, if you see what I mean ...

I have changed that setting and will see how it goes.

Thanks for the prompt response and good advice.

You probably have the option to Infer File Properties enabled under Tools > Options > Library. Disable it (this will not undo it however).

MediaMonkey assigns individual tracks to albums

by DominicB » Mon Mar 05, 2018 4:18 pm

Hi all

I am using currently using MediaMonkey 4.1.5.1719

MediaMonkey has recently started assigning tracks that have been downloaded and deliberately left as standalone tracks, to albums.
For example, a number of years ago I downloaded Fade to Grey by Visage and for a number of years it has sat in my collection as a track and not assigned to any album.
Fairly recently, MM has helpfully decided to assign it to the album Visage, along with the little + sign by the band name, to denote there is an album there. It's just showing as an album with 1 track.

This has happened with loads of tracks now, and as fast as I am coming across them and undoing them, others are popping up.

It is really clever to do help out in this way, but I don't want it to. I can't see a single setting that seems to be causing this, but there are that many configurable options, it has to be there somewhere.

Can anyone help out?

Thanks

DominicB
