You may have to do separate syncs where each sync is configured for a different location based on what is synced (and disable delete content not on sync list).

Thanks for the reply and suggestion however, that doesn't really work either, since you can only have one type per song (all but one of the songs I want to sync as ringtones/notifications/alarms are also part of my music library). I appreciate your suggestion though.

The destination section is only based on the "Type" field, and "Types" are hard-coded (you can't make your own custom ones). So the only way would be to use a different type for ringtones that you don't use, like "Audiobooks" or something.

Syncing Ringtones

I'm having trouble setting up my auto-sync. I would like to have all my music synced to \Music\ but I'd also like to make a Ringtones playlist that syncs to \media\audio\ringtones\. If an item occurs in both playlists (which is more than likely) I would like it copied to both locations. I actually want to also sync an Alarms playlist to \media\audio\alarms\ and a Notifications playlist that syncs to \media\audio\notifications\. All my other playlists should be synced to \Playlists\. How can I set this up? I use auto playlists, so I can just add a 'ringtones' genre tag and it will sync under the ringtones, etc.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Ace, it allows you to add ringtones just by dropping them in the aforementioned folders (no special steps required).

I thought I could maybe set up different collections and have them synced to more locations under the Destination section on the devices auto-sync settings, but alas, the new collections aren't added to the destination section :(
